This program aims to advance research a and pedagogical training of experts focusing on issues of long-term social processes and t significantly impact contemporary societies' lives. These include, in particular, the prob modernization and social change, globalization tendencies and impacts, integration and dis processes, continuity and discontinuity relationships, religious and cultural pluralism, i of global and local, identification of chances and risks of social development, analysis o situations and possibilities of overcoming them. Historical sociology is not merely a hybrid link between history and sociology.
